What can I expect?
- All services are provided in your home
- 2-3 overnight shifts per week (if you need more than that I will partner with another doula)
- Typical contract is 2-6 months
- 8 hour per night minimum (10pm-6am is standard)
- Complimentary meet-and-greet session
- Birthing parent care, and support with childbirth recovery
- Compassionate emotional support
- Screening for symptoms of perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (PMAD’s)
- Assistance/education with infant care (bathing, diapering, swaddling, sleep, infant cues, etc.)
- Assistance/education with lactation, nursing, pumping, and bottle feeding of both formula and human milk. Mary will happily support whatever your chosen method of infant feeding is.
- Referrals as needed/desired
Families I support include:
- Teens
- Over 50
- LGBTQ+ (warmly embracing all genders and family structures)
- BIPOC
- Adoption
- Prematurity
- Special medical needs
- Perinatal mood and anxiety disorders
- Single parents
- Cesarean birth
